Arnolfo di Cambio

It all started when Bruno, and his son, Gilberto, made one of their greatest dreams come true and opened a crystal factory in Colle di Val d’Elsa, a small town where high-quality “acoustic glass” was produced. Beginning to produce lead crystal meant, on one hand, introducing innovative machinery to allow the production of objects that would bring out the full beauty of crystal. On the other hand, it meant ensuring the use of top quality raw materials, an essential factor in determining the transparency and brilliance of crystal. In those times, in Italy and, to some extent, also internationally, talk about “state-of the-art” referred to machinery, while Colle di Val d’Elsa was already known for its glass production.
The ancient artisan methods used by the area’s master glass-makers have served as the basis every product, innovation and research effort completed by the company throughout its growth. Today, manual dexterity and traditional techniques have become the company’s most precious assets. The company owes its strength to these masters. The partnerships developed and the projects completed during the years of the company’s growth, along with the great contribution of the designers and their “science,” have earned Arnolfo di Cambio international recognition, including the “Oscar du Crystal” in Paris.
