Andrea Ruggiero

Born in 1969, and raised in Italy, China, and Austria, Andrea Ruggiero, originally trained as an industrial designer (at Parsons School of Design, and briefly at the Domus Academy). Ruggiero now works as a generalist, bridging various disciplines and is also actively involved in the design and development of visual identity systems, furniture, packaging, and commercial interiors. His work appears regularly in leading design and lifestyle publications and has been selected for the Good Design Award, the International Furniture Design Fair award in Japan, and twice for ID Magazine's prestigious Annual Design Review.
Ruggiero’s work has been included in numerous exhibitions -- most notably at an acclaimed 2 person show with Mike Solis entitled Fun[k]tion : New Basics for the Domestic Environment at TOTEM, New York (1999) -- and has been widely published.
Ruggiero has been teaching product design at Parsons School of Design since 1996 and has been a visiting lecturer at the Universidad Diego Portales in Santiago De Chile. He is a frequent contributor to the Color Association of the United States.
